Two non-executive directors will join William Hill’s executive board. Imelda Walsh and Georgina Harvey will have their places in the board starting with the 1st of October.
Before 2005, Georgina Harvey has worked at Express Newspapers plc. Starting with the year 2005 she worked as a Managing Director of the Regionals division of Trinity Mirror plc. After that, she was appointed as the President of the Newspaper Society, in July 2010.
Imelda Walsh has worked as Group Human Resources Director at J Sainsbury plc. There was a Board member of the Institute of Employment Studies along with Imelda Walsh and a trustee of Comic Relief.
The Chairman of William Hill, Gareth Davis, expressed his satisfaction regarding the new board members, stating that they both have valuable experience from retail and media, which are necessary to look after regulatory, technology and people issues, which are present in William Hill at the moment.
