Mount Airy Casino Chooses Agilsys for Casino Solutions

On September 17th, 2007, Agilsys Incorporated, a manufacturer of software and gaming solution announced that they have been selected by Mount Airy casino Resort facility in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania to give them a comprehensive property management and inventory system for Mount Airy casino.

Mount Airy Casino Resort will also use the Lodging Management System (LMS) by Agilsys to expedite hotel operations and check-in and check-out of customers. Mount Airy will also use an MMS or Materials Management System by the company to fast track their procurement procedure and manage customer transactions a lot easier.

Mount Airy Casino will use the InfoGenesis Point of Sale by Agilsys. Mike Ray, the chief information officer of the Mount Airy Casino Resort said that they are looking for a company that can give them a complete solution to answer their needs for their every day hotel and casino operations.

They also need a system that will be easily understood by their staff especially who are first timers in the industry. Agilsys has a good record in the casino industry and they believe in the capability of the company. The Lodging Management System is a property management solution that will manage the casino’s operations like customer reservation, credit card verification, accounting, housekeeping and others.

The Materials Management System will help the casino get the best prices for their services and strengthening their buying capability by allocating the purchasing to the different departments.

Tina Stehle, the senior vice president of Agilsys said that they are honored to be chosen by Mount Airy Casino as their sole provider of property management, inventory procurement and POS software solutions.

The Mount Airy Casino Resort is scheduled to open on October 2007. The first phase of the casino include 188 rooms and suites, a 68,000 square foot gambling area, four restaurants, entertainment facility, a spa and salon, different merchandise shops and convention facility.

The second phase of the casino will include an expanded gaming area, additional 212 suites and indoor swimming pool. The casino also has a golf course which showcases a 27 acre lake and 500 acres of preserved green area.
