French Lick Casino Improve their Earnings for the Month of March Despite Lower Visitor Turn Out

On April 10th, 2008, the French Lick Resort Casino Facility had a smaller number of visitors to their gaming area from March 2008 compared with the same period last year. Those customers last month, however, spent more cash in slot machines. The total amount that the casino facility accomplished on gambling was down to $9 million in March of 2008 compared with $9.2 million in 2007, according to the statistics passed to the Indiana Gaming Commission in Indianapolis.

Just last month, the casino welcomed around 109,066 visitors. In the month of March last year, there were 125,773 people who passed through the gates of the casino. During the month of March, southern Indiana suffered from heavy rains and several major roads through the casino facility were closed for a period of time. During the same period last year, the casinos won a total $7.7 million from the slot machines compared with total wins of $7.8 million for March 2008.

On total casino table games win for March 2008, the casino won a total of $1.4 million compared to the $1.1 million won by the casino on March 2007. The number of casino visitors that visited the casino floor last month improved from the number of visitors that visited the casino floor on February 2008, where around 103,219 visitors entered the casino floor.

The total profit that the casino made in March 2008 was $9 million, which is also a slight improvement from the profit earned by the casino during the past month which is $8.9 million.
