Well-Known Personalities Attend Swansea Casino Launch Party

On September 7th, 2007, the largest casino opening party worth 75,000 pounds by businessman Damian Aspinall and his wife Donna Air was held in Wales to debut their second casino in his chain of new gaming facilities.

One of the first visitors to walk along the red carpet on Swansea’s Wind Street up to the glass doors of the 13 million pounds casino facility was Linden Jones, Catherine Zeta-Jones’ brother and manager. He attended the party together with their mother Pat and their father, Dai dressed in light colored jacket.

Twenty-seven year old cruiserweight boxing champion Enzo Maccarinelli from Bonymaen, Swansea attended the party with his parents. The father of ex-Wales striker John Hartson, Cyril Hartson also attended the casino launch with the dad and trainer of boxing champion Joe, Enzo Calzaghe. X-Factor star Ray Quinn, the teenager from Liverpool who made a name on the show by belting out swing music performed at the party by singing My Way.

Other well-known personalities who have attended the party include Health Minister Edwina Hart and her husband and the millionaire owner of Morgans Hotel, Martin Morgan, his wife and business partner Louise Morgan.

The casino launch party also became a night out for the players of Swansea City like defender Alan Tate without their respective partners. Other players who have attended the party included defenders Dennis Lawrence from Trinidad and Tobago, Kevin Amankwah and Marcos Painter. Striker Daryl Duffy also attended the event.
