When the first online casinos sprouted, few believed that they will rise to the glorious status they reached. Today's online casino companies are valued at billions of dollars and traded publicly with amazing success. News about online casino companies are being printed on the top page of all the major economical papers and are being regarded as the fastest growing internet field today.
One interesting side affect of this tidal wave of online casinos is the loss of income that some land based casinos suffer. Lately it seems that many Vegas casinos are getting worried more and more with every passing day. Though many claim that online gambling can never completely replace the huge and luxurious land based casinos, it certainly bites a large chunk of their profits.
Lately more and more well known classic casinos are launching their own online casinos. It is an understandable development as they hope to lure gamblers with their established reputation and fame. In many cases this enterprises aren’t as successful as expected. Though the large casinos are indeed well established gambling institutions they can't count on that to work for them online. Today's online gamblers won't compromise quality for anything else. The only things that count are payout percentages, security models and well established name of the online facility. Online reputation defers from others as it's based on online performance strictly.
We are left only to see whether or not this new online adventures will help the land based casinos get back some of the pie.
