Davenport Riverboat Casino Plans to Shorten Its Hours

On March 23, 2007, the Rhythm City Riverboat Casino establishment in Davenport, Iowa announced that they are planning to slash some hours in their operating time beginning in April 2007. That plan by the Rhythm City Riverboat Casino can be seen on the documents that the casino has filed with the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission.

The Rhythm Riverboat Casino wants to close down their establishment Sundays through Thursdays from 2:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. But the Rhythm Riverboat Casino will be open 24 hours a day on Fridays and Saturdays.

Isle of Capri Casino, the owner of the Rhythm City Casino, cited a study that they had commissioned which showed that not enough people participate in casino gambling during the early hours of the morning, so they have decided that they might as well close down the casino to conserve the expenses that they incur while they are open. It will also allow them to use the resources saved by this plan for other worthwhile activities and plans for the casino. The changes in the Rhythm Riverboat Casino will be implemented on April 2, 2007.
