Churchill Downs Head Disappointed on Casino Proposal Decision

On March 30th, 2008, the president and Chief Executive Officer of the Churchill Downs Incorporated in Louisville has announced his disappointment that the proposal that would allow a statewide referendum on casino gambling in Kentucky would not be decided by a full state House or be endorsed to the Senate during the present legislative meeting.

Robert Evans commented that the choices that they make at the present will certainly influence the future and failing to pass the casino proposal for the horse racing tracks places casino at a significant disadvantage.

He added that those people in the horse racing business observe horsemen move their stables across state boundaries in order to get the chance to win bigger racing purses funded by casino gambling at other horse racing tracks.

Aside from that, the Churchill Downs has remodeled their Internet site and out additional features for this year’s horseracing season, which will start on April 26th, 2008.

The newly remodeled site of the Churchill downs also includes additional information for out-of-town visitors, brand new racing stories, data on practice times and additional video features that designed to match the track activity as well as video and racing related interviews.
